Damon Doe has been a lending professional for over 19 years with senior level experience in financial services, corporate banking, fund management, corporate finance, and equity investment. Damon serves as Managing Partner of Montage Capital. Damon’s experience includes serving as Senior Vice President and South Bay Regional Manager of United American Bank (ticker: UABK.OB) of San Mateo, a 5 year old Bay Area bank, from 2005 to 2008. In this capacity, Damon founded the bank’s Sunnyvale office by establishing a high performing banking team and valuable portfolio. Damon also served 2 years as Executive Vice President at Legacy Bank, N.A. of Campbell, CA where he served on the bank’s Loan Committee, and Asset Liability Management Committee from 2003 to 2005. From 1997 to 2002, Damon co-founded and served as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Sand Hill Capital, a $150 million venture debt and equity fund (which specialized in bridge loans) located in Menlo Park, CA. Damon served in various capacities while forming and managing Sand Hill Capital. First and foremost, Damon was responsible for originating, approving, and managing a large part of Sand Hill’s loan portfolio. Damon established and managed Sand Hill Capital’s loan production office in Seattle, WA and built a $25+ million loan portfolio in the Seattle area. Through Mr. Doe’s leadership, Sand Hill established a strong presence in the Pacific Northwest, in addition to Silicon Valley. Damon also served as the Fund’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Sand Hill Capital, Damon financed early-stage and middle market technology companies at Silicon Valley Bank and Bank of the West. Some of Damon’s past clients include: Advanced Fiber Communications, JDS Uniphase, Looksmart, CMGI, CommerceOne, Atom Films (acquired by MacroMedia), VerticalNet, StorMedia, UpShot, @POS, and many others.
