Prior to joining Balderton Capital, spent 15 years acquiring and developing businesses globally in the media, retail and consumer goods sectors. Most recently, was part of the management team that successfully sold Emap’s consumer magazine business to H. Bauer for £1.1bn. Spent eight years at Emap, holding a range of executive roles, including Managing Director of Emap Consumer Media and Emap Performance. Was responsible for digital development (internet, mobile and digital broadcast); the founder of Box TV (the music TV joint venture with Channel 4); the launch Managing Director of Zoo magazine; the Chairman of CAP (an automotive B2B information business) and a Director of Frontline (the UK’s leading newstrade distribution company). Prior to Emap, was at The Boston Consulting Group, advising clients across a range of industries in Europe, China, Japan and US. Started his career as a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, running FMCG Brands in the UK and across Western Europe. Serves on the OFCOM advisory committee for England. MEng and BA in Engineering. Economics and Management from Oxford University.
