Bio

Joined The Capital Fund in July 2002. After working as a digital telecommunications design engineer for STC, moved to 3i, initially as an Investment Controller at the 3i Southampton office and then as a Partner at 3i Ventures in London. During his 9 years at 3i, built and managed a portfolio of private equity investments in businesses at every stage of development, and with particular emphasis on high technology ventures. From 1989, worked as an independent investment adviser and project manager for, amongst others, ANZ Merchant Bank, Williams de Broë, Ernst & Young, the EBRD and the British Government's Know How Fund. He managed projects in the UK and Russia, including the design and implementation of venture capital strategies. In 1999, returned to London to work on acquisition and fund-raising projects for quoted and unquoted clients. Degree in electrical and electronic engineering. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Touche Ross in London.
