Harold Ewen's pioneering career in the field of cable television lending and investment banking dates back 45 years. Prior to joining CEA in 1982, he spent 10 years in Chicago as Vice President of Warburg Paribas Becker and a principal of Becker Communications Associates, a lending and venture capital partnership that invested primarily in cable television firms. Previously he held the position of President of Cable Funding Corporation, a firm that specialized in lending to cable television companies. Harold began his career in 1958 with the Indianapolis Morris Plan/Economy Finance Corporation, where he became a Vice President, responsible for some of the earliest loans to cable television industry entrepreneurs and broadcasters. Harold currently supervises CEA's private equity activity, which he helped found in 1992. He sits on the board of directors and investment committees of the CEA sponsored funds in the U.S., Central Europe, Western Europe and Latin America. He has also been on the boards of various investee companies. Harold holds a B.S. in Business with a major in Accounting from Butler University and a Juris Doctorate cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law.
