Bio

Mr Ahmed joined Oak Investment Partners as a Vice President in the Westport office in January 2004 and focuses on technology investments across all stages. Prior to joining Oak, Mr Ahmed spent three years with Fidelity Ventures in Boston where he was involved in their investments in Wavesmith Networks (acquired by CIEN), Newisys (acquired by SANM), Airespace Networks and Fabric7 Systems. Ifty also worked in the Private Equity Group of Goldman Sachs in New York, and held various operating roles in the wireline division of Schlumberger. Ifty received his undergraduate degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), New Delhi, and his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar. Mr Ahmed is currently a Director of Kenet Inc and serves as an Observer on the board of Aras Corporation. He is also actively involved with a number of Oak’s portfolio companies including Xiotech, Movaz Networks and Excel Switching.
