Bio

Since joining Blackstone in October 2009, has focused on Blackstone’s advisory practice in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Has nineteen years of investment banking and financial institutions experience. Prior to joining Blackstone, acted as Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions at Cerberus’ Frankfurt Office, where he led the BAWAG /PSK acquisition and acquired extensive transaction experience in the banking, insurance, and real estate sectors. Prior to that, served as Head of Financial Institutions and was a Member of the Management Committee of BNP Paribas in Germany, where he advised major clients such as AHBR, Allianz, AWD, Commerzbank, DZ-Bank, Erste Bank, Gothaer, Hannover Re / Talanx, HUK, Hypo Vereinsbank, KfW, Munich Re, Postbank, RZB, Signal Iduna, Sparkassen Finanzgruppe, and most German Landesbanken. Currently serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of R-Biopharm, a leading developer of test solutions for clinical diagnostics and food and feed analysis. Doctoral degree in economics from TU Darmstadt and a joint degree in electrical engineering and management from the same university.
