Mr James G Kollegger is one of the pioneers of the electronic information industry: founder of one of the earliest database publishing companies, technology venture capitalist, and industry leader who helped build the Information Industry Assn.(now SIIA), which named him their first "Entrepreneur of the Year" in 1987. Founded in 1989, Genesys has helped its ventures raised more than $300M and was financial and strategic advisor to Wave Systems (NASDAQ: WAVX), Folio Corp, the Hollywood Stock Exchange (HSX); Solbright Digital Solutions; Ingram Entertainment, e-workflow provider Knovel, analytics venture Enkata, and legal videobank pioneer Courtroom Connect. He was founder and CEO of EIC/Intelligence, Inc., one of the industry's first database companies, which he sold to Reed-Elsevier Ltd. in 1988. EIC tracked new technologies from laboratory to marketplace for large corporate, government and academic clients. Databases included artificial intelligence, biotechnology, CAD/CAM, environment, energy, robotics, and telecommunications. Mr Kollegger served in the U.S. Army Strategic Communications Command during the Vietnam era as Operations Officer, Northwest Major Relay Station, and as Command Information Officer for this major global command. Mr Kollegger served on the Advisory Council of the United States Government Printing Office in the era of President Reagan Mr Kollegger is a graduate of Boston University, the United States Army Signal School, and is a member of the Union League Club of New York.
