Bio
Mr Bobanovic joined iNovia Capital in 2003 and is active in information technology, clean technology and advanced technologies sectors, covering all aspects of the investment process, including investment evaluation, due diligence, and portfolio company support. He has been involved in a number of initiatives and selection committees of Nanotech NSTI, CSI Cleantech, TechConnect, TiE Quest, Canadian Venture Forum and Les Anges Financiers de Quebec. Prior to joining iNovia, Joško spent time at L'Oreal working on e-business and internet brand management, as well as in the development of in-store interactive marketing solutions. He has extensive experience in internet and software industries, being amongst other things the founder of a specialty software development company and also of an internet service provider (ISP) in Europe. Since starting his career as a research scientist who built forecasting software systems that are currently used by Environment Canada, Mr Bobanovic brings a keen interest in technology transfer and commercialisation. Mr Bobanovic is on the board of directors for Plastic Knowledge (formerly Silk Displays), Callio Technologies and MetaFoam. Mr Bobanovic holds an MBA in finance and marketing from McGill University, a PhD in Ocean Physics from Dalhousie University and BEng in Physics from University of Zagreb.
