Bio

Kam Dhillon is widely recognised for spearheading and powering performance through operational change, strategic planning and plan implementation. He has acted on behalf of both government and the private sector in various privatizations, joint ventures and Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives, in international trade, infrastructure, transport, defence and healthcare; he has an extensive global network of business contacts. Prior to joining Cedars Holding Kam Dhillon was Chief Strategy Officer for the Commonwealth Investment Corporation, a role which involved extensive commercial and policy development both within government and the private sector. He specializes in working with the public sector in emerging markets with a particular focus on Sub-Saharan African countries; most recently with various governments including Ghana, Mozambique, Cameroon and Kenya. His unique experience as a reformer, combined with his established relationships with government leaders and in-country teams of experts, means he has led on a number of government priority projects, including the development of major infrastructure. In all his projects, he aims to attract investment sustainably and to deliver shared prosperity, shared community and a shared sense of responsibility. He studied Law and Politics in the UK and has a keen interest in Information Technology. After graduating, he established a litigation advisory service in the UK regulated by the Ministry of Justice, which worked closely with the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureau and was subsequently sold to an industry leader. In 2002, his visionary efforts, strategic and operational corporate experience led him to become one of the founding directors and CEO of Montana Insurance, a multinational insurance business in underwriting complex short term and medium term transactions. Kam Dhillon is an active patron of the Royal Institute of International Affairs at Chatham House.
