Bio

Dr. Ken Green has over 30 years of experience in the life science industry with broad experience as a medical practitioner, investor, and manager. He is a co-Founder and Managing Partner of Spring Mill Venture Partners, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage life sciences and information technology investments. He serves as a member of the board or board observer of QuadraSpec, CS-Keys, Ifbyphone and SonarMed. Previously, Ken was the CEO of Cutanogen Corporation, a start up medical device company developing tissue engineered skin for the treatment of burns. The company was sold in 2007. Prior to that, he spent eight years at SenMed Medical Ventures (a Cincinnati-based venture capital company), where he worked in the technology group investigating, sourcing and managing investments in a broad array of technologies including tissue engineering, artificial organs, refractive surgery, diagnostics and biotechnology. In addition, Ken formed and managed the company’s Scientific Advisory Board. He also has previously worked in strategic marketing with Bristol Myers Squibb. Ken trained in internal medicine and practiced medicine for eight years before entering the entrepreneurial world. He is the Chairman of the Biomedical Engineering External Advisory Board at IUPUI in Indianapolis and a member of the Research and Development committee of the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana. He has taught graduate students at Indiana University (Bloomington), IUPUI (Indianapolis), Notre Dame (South Bend) and Purdue University (West Lafayette), and is a student advisor to Indiana University’s MD/MBA program. Dr. Green obtained his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and his Master of Business Administration at the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
