Bio

Matt Salzberg, a senior associate in the New York office, joined Bessemer in 2010. He focuses on the mobile, digital-media and software sectors and has been closely involved with Bessemer's investments in mobile application management company Apperian, network optimization company Intucell, credit-ratings agency Kroll Bond Ratings, mobile-advertising firm Millennial Media and network software developer Vasona Networks. He also serves on the Board of Directors at SelectMinds. Before joining BVP, Matt was an analyst in the Blackstone Group’s private equity division, where he stayed until shortly after its IPO. He was involved in several transactions including the take-private of Nielsen, the corporate carve-out of Catalent and the dividend recapitalization of Centennial Communications. In addition, Matt worked in Blackstone’s Hong Kong office where he evaluated investments in the Thai, Indonesian and Australian markets. B.A. in economics, summa cum laude, and an MBA, both from Harvard University.
