Bio

Co-head of Actis' infrastructure business, with specific responsibility for its non-power related activities. Joined Actis in 1995 as an investment executive for Latin America and subsequently became a manager in the Natural Resources Group. Moved to Bolivia in 2001, heading Actis' Latin America operations, and was responsible for an investment portfolio of US$250 million. Led and worked on equity deals throughout the Latin American region and is a non executive director of many of Actis' investee companies. In addition to the Latin America role, has invested, managed and exited infrastructure-related deals in mining, cement, tin smelting, bulk port, railroad and airport businesses as well as greenfield power development. Before joining Actis, spent four years with Arthur Andersen in London and Buenos Aires, and two years in Korea as an economics analyst. Degree in Economics from the University of Durham and is a Chartered Accountant.
