After more than 20 years in various investing and operating capacities, Nino has participated in investments in more than 100 private companies and venture capital funds and currently holds board director or observer seats at Brightfield, Integral Ad Science (acquired by Vista Equity Partners), Monday.com, OpenX, OpsRamp, and Reltio. He is furthermore involved with Sapphire’s investments in Alation, Feedzai, Mirantis, Outreach, Punchh, Reonomy, Scytl, Sun Basket, and Tradewind Markets. Nino’s previous investments at Sapphire include: Alteryx (NYSE:AYX), Apriso (acquired by Dassault Systemes), Box (NYSE:BOX), Criteo (NASDAQ: CRTO), Endeca (acquired by Oracle), Inkling (acquired by Marlin Equity Partners), iovation (acquired by TransUnion), Iron.io, Krux (acquired by SalesForce), Lavante (acquired by PRGX Global), LinkedIn (acquired by Microsoft), Marin Software (NYSE: MRIN), MuleSoft (acquired by Salesforce), Nutanix (NASDAQ: NTNX), Payscale (acquired by Warburg Pincus), Recommind (acquired by OpenText), Right Hemisphere (acquired by SAP), Square (NYSE:SQ), Vendavo (acquired by Francisco Partners), and Zend (acquired by Rogue Wave). Before Sapphire Ventures, Nino was a partner with meVC Draper Fisher Jurvetson and IVF Ventures. Prior to venture capital, Nino worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Robertson Stephens. He has a bachelor’s in economics and psychology from Williams College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Nino was born in Croatia and has also lived in Austria, Italy, and Germany before settling in the San Francisco Bay Area more than 20 years ago
