Pat is the founder and President of Symmetry Growth Capital. He was also the founding partner and managing general partner at St. Paul Venture Capital, an early stage venture capital firm with over $3 billion in committed capital. Successful investments have included: Select Comfort, Sylvan Learning Systems, Petstuff, Pacific Sunwear, BizMart, Tokos Medical, Chuck E. Cheese's and National Electronics Warranty Corp. Prior to founding St. Paul Venture Capital in 1988, Pat served four years as the managing general partner of the T. Rowe Price Threshold Funds. In the early 1980's, he was the founder, chairman and CEO of Family Entertainment Centers, a company he took public. Pat began his career in 1973 as an investment analyst specializing in consumer-related companies for Capital Research Company. Pat is currently the Chairman of Select Comfort and Cool Cuts for Kids, and is a board member of National Electronics Warranty Corporation, Minnesota Public Radio and the National Venture Capital Association. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time at his lake cabin with his wife and four children.
