Bio

Mr Tirabassi joined M/C in 2007 and focuses on media and communications industry segments, including digital media, broadband services, wireless services and technology-related services. From 2000 to early 2007, he was a Partner at Dolphin Equity Partners where he led investments in and served on the board of eight portfolio companies including Airband, Gomez (acquired by Compuware in 2009), MaxPreps (acquired by CBS in 2007) and VitalStream (acquired by Internap in 2006). Prior to Dolphin, Mr Tirabassi worked in product development and marketing at Diamond Lane Communications (acquired by Nokia in 1998). Prior to Diamond Lane Communications, he was an early employee and spent 4 years at FutureBrand, a strategic marketing consulting firm (acquired by Interpublic Group in 1997). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Airband, CSDVRS and HyPerformix and is a Board of Directors observer at Public Mobile, Seven Networks and SpeechCycle. Mr Tirabassi received an AB cum laude in philosophy and foreign languages from Harvard University in 1993 and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Palmer Scholar. He also received an MSE in Telecommunications and Networking Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
