Sam Fort

Bio

Sam joined the Growth Fund in 2010 and his primary areas of interest are in cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and cleantech technologies. Prior to joining DFJ, he worked as an Private Equity Associate with TPG Capital in San Francisco where he focused on technology and telecommunications investments, including the leveraged buyouts of Alltel and Freescale Semiconductor. Sam began his career in investment banking as an analyst with Morgan Stanley’s Media & Communications practice in New York, providing corporate finance and M&A advisory to public and private companies. He has also worked with Nth Power, a leading venture capital firm focused on energy technology investments. Sam holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a BSE in Computer & Telecommunications Engineering and a BA in Economics.
