Mr Kaminitz comes to Gemini after many years of successful operational experience in the enterprise software arena, both as an entrepreneur and as an executive. At Gemini, Mr Kaminitz works closely with very early stage software entrepreneurs. With his help, a complete business program is built ready for review as a potential investment. Mr Kaminitz is also responsible for assessing the investment potential of software deals that are presented to Gemini. Before joining Gemini Mr Kaminitz was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Carmel Ventures, a global VC fund specializing in the enterprise software space. Prior to Carmel, Mr Kaminitz spent 10 years at Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of business applications to the communications industry and Israel's largest software company. In 1996, Mr Kaminitz established Amdocs' E-Business Applications Group, a P&L developing innovative products in the areas of eCRM and Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP). Mr Kaminitz headed the group for 4 years, generating sales to some of the world's largest communication service providers. The group was among the first in the world to develop mission-critical enterprise applications using web technologies, and to web-enable legacy applications. Between 1990 and 1996, Mr Kaminitz held several Project Management, Account Management and R&D positions, in Israel and the US. In all positions, Mr Kaminitz drove the introduction of new technologies or entry into new lines of business. Before Amdocs, Mr Kaminitz was with the Israeli Defense Forces, leading a three-year large-scale software project based on Oracle. Mr Kaminitz holds a BSc in Computer Science and BA in Economics, both Summa Cum Laude, from the Tel-Aviv University.
