Andy Jhawar

Bio

Mr. Jhawar is a Senior Partner of Apollo Management, L.P., which he joined in February 2000 and where he oversees the firm’s efforts in the grocery, food & beverage and consumer products sectors. Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Jhawar was an investment banker for five years with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation and, prior to that, Jefferies & Company, Inc., where he focused primarily on the structuring, execution and negotiation of high yield debt and equity financing transactions. Mr. Jhawar currently sits on the Board of Directors of Sprouts Farmers Markets, a leading specialty retailer of natural / organic foods, and Smart & Final Inc., a leading operator of warehouse food retailing locations. He also previously served on the Board of Directors of General Nutrition Centers, Inc., the nation’s largest retailer of nutritional supplements and Rent-A-Center, Inc., the nation’s largest rent-to-own company. Mr. Jhawar graduated with an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated, summa cum laude, with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
