Ben Mathias

Bio

Ben joined NEA in 2006 to focus on investments in the rapidly growing Indian markets. In January 2007, he launched New Enterprise Associates (India) Pvt. Ltd. and opened its Bangalore office. Ben currently resides in India as an employee of this entity and helps manage and support the India related activities. He is on the board of Novatium Solutions, ValueFirst and RT Outsourcing and works closely with Deeya Energy, Nova Medical Centers, and NEA's other India related investments. Most recently Ben was Vice President of E2open, a supply chain software start-up company where he held several positions related to revenue generation, corporate strategy and services delivery. Prior to that, Ben was Vice President at i2 Technologies where he managed i2’s services and solutions organizations for Japan and for worldwide High Tech markets. Previously, Ben spent a few years at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting as a part of the retail consulting practice. In his early career, he was at Open Environment Corporation, a start-up company in Boston building application development tools for Distributed Computing. inTarvo, Novatium, ValueFirst. Ben received his Master of Science in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College and his Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
