Is a successful owner-entrepreneur-investor and enjoys advising and mentoring start ups. He divides his time between India and Singapore and is keen to leverage the India Advantage in the India-Singapore-U.S. corridor. He co-founded Kanbay in Chicago in 1989, and was instrumental in its growth and transformation into a global IT services player, with over 6,000 employees across four continents. As an early believer in India's competitive advantage, he led the setup of its India off-shore development centers, making Kanbay one of the first U.S. IT companies to provide Global Service Delivery anchored out of India. His entrepreneurial success is evidenced in Kanbay's acquisition by Cap Gemini in February 2007, at a market capitalization of US$ 1.25 billion. Earlier,he practiced as an Attorney in the High Court at Bombay. He ranked first in the Solicitor's Examination, trained and worked with Crawford Bayley & Co. (one of India's leading law firms), and then set up independent practice. B.A. (Hons.) and an L.L.B. from Bombay University.
