Bio

Erik has spent over twenty years working with venture capital-backed technology companies in both an investment and advisory capacity. He has worked with funds based in Australia and Israel but has spent the majority of his career helping European businesses conquer global markets. Erik joined Almaz Capital from Macquarie Capital’s Principal Investment business and previously spent a decade with Intel Capital, where he focused on early stage technology investments in the enterprise, mobile and consumer services sectors. His investments include iZettle (acquired by Paypal), MariaDB (Finnish open source database developer), Volocopter (German developer of electric multicopters), dataArtisans (acquired by Alibaba), Movea (acquired by TDK/InvenSense), IPTego (acquired by AcmePacket/Oracle), and Aldebaran Robotics (acquired by SoftBank), among others. Erik started his career over 20 years ago in the San Francisco-based investment bank Hambrecht & Quist, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions for high-growth companies in the communications, semiconductor and software spaces. Erik holds a degree in Economics from Princeton University.
