Ferdinand Freiherr von Wrede

Bio

Mr von Wrede is the responsible manager for all activities of Management Capital Holding related to Media/Publishing. He is also Managing Director of the European Professional Publishing Group, which is the holding company for the subsidiaries in the field of media and professional publishing. Before that, Mr von Wrede held the position as the Head of Business Affairs at one of Germany’s leading media and publishing groups, Süddeutscher Verlag, in Munich. His responsibilities included the legal department and numerous projects related to the restructuring of the group as well as the development of new businesses, first for the professional information division and since 2003 for the whole Süddeutsche group. Furthermore he led all M&A related activities of the Süddeutscher Verlag. Mr von Wrede was a member of several supervisory boards including Verlag Moderne Industrie , Munich and CB News SA, Paris. In addition, he was Authorized Representative of the Süddeutscher Verlag and the Süddeutscher Verlag Hüthig Fachinformationen GmbH, the holding division for all professional publishing activities within the group. Previously, he was a founding partner of the law firm Gregory Raven Wrede, where he advised several companies in all issues related to corporate and company law as well as mergers and acquisitions. Mr von Wrede holds a Master of Law from the University of Passau and earned his second state examination in Dresden.
