Gianfilippo Cuneo

Bio

Dr Cuneo is Chairman of Cuneo & Associati. In 1989, he founded the Italian office of Bain, which currently employs over 250 professionals in Italy, Turkey and Brazil. He has acted as a consultant to the top management of Italian and international companies, which in total represent 80% of the Italian stock market capitalization. He also founded Investitori Associati, a private equity fund co-sponsored by Banca Commerciale Italiana. Investitori has been the best performing fund in Italy. Dr Cuneo's fund investments include Panini and SEAT Yellow Pages. He is furthermore also a personal investor in several small companies, two of which have become listed on the German stock market (Marbert and Jean Pascal). He has also been appointed to government committees on matters related to industrial policy, and was named Advisor to the government for awarding the second GSM license. Prior to Bain, he was Director at McKinsey & Co, where he opened and managed the Milan office. Mr cuneo holds a BS in Economics from the University of Genova where he graduated with honors and obtained an MBA with highest honors from the University of Pittsburgh.
