James Darkins

Bio

James Darkins is responsible for Henderson Global Investors’ property business in the United Kingdom, Europe, North America and Asia. He was appointed to his current position in 2001 and his primary focus has been directing the significant growth of the Henderson property business in Europe, which now operates from 8 European offices providing property investment funds to over 200 institutional clients. James joined AMP in 1998, prior to the acquisition of Henderson, as Head of Property in New Zealand; he was subsequently appointed Head of Property for Asia based in Sydney before taking up his current role in London. Over the course of his 30 year career he has worked for a number of property and buildings related companies in the UK and New Zealand, including over 14 years in the property investment and development industry.
