Larry D. Cox is senior vice president and general manager of Science Applications International Corporation's (SAIC's) Cyber & Information Solutions Business Unit (CISBU). He reports directly to SAIC CEO Walt Havenstein on the company's cyber business and programs. As the head of CISBU, Cox is responsible for leading SAIC’s innovation and thought leadership in cyber and signals intelligence (SIGINT) for federal, commercial, and international customers. From state-of-the-art information management solutions that incorporate advanced sensors and deep analytics to comprehensive cyber solutions, products, and services that enable SAIC’s customers to better protect data and services, the business unit provides support across all SAIC groups and the corporate enterprise. Before joining SAIC in 2005, Cox served as vice president of SIGINT strategy at Lockheed Martin. He was previously the founder and president of ORINCON Sygenex, Inc., a high-technology systems development company acquired by Lockheed Martin in 2003. Cox has also held various senior positions with the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, the General Electric Company, and the National Security Agency (NSA). An active member of the cyber and SIGINT communities, Cox serves on numerous government and industry advisory boards, such as the NSA Advisory Board and the CyberPatriot board of advisors. He also sits on the board of directors of the National Correlation Working Group, SAIC Pty Ltd. and Inquirion Pty Ltd Australia, CloudShield Technologies, and the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore. He previously served on the Aspin-Brown Defense Commission, the National Reconnaissance Office Commission, and the Kerr Remote Sensing Panel. Cox earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Maryland.
