Larry E Palmer

Bio

Mr. Palmer joined Massey Energy, a major coal producer that generates $1.2 Billion in sales from 116 subsidiary companies in June 1997. He is responsible for all tax compliance and equipment leasing, and assists with the management of the company’s insurance and bonding functions. Prior to joining Massey, Mr. Palmer served as Director of Taxation for Rochester & Pittsburgh Coal Company in Pittsburgh PA. Palmer earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pennsylvania State University in 1977. Following graduation Mr. Palmer served in the United States Marine Corp. He then earned his MBA in 1979 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Palmer is a Certified Management Account and Enrolled Agent and is active in the Tax Institute and the Institute of Management Accountants.
