Bio
Nate is a native of Michigan and hails from a family of entrepreneurs. He has spent the past 15 years as an investor; most recently with Rustic Canyon, first as an Investing Partner and, since 2010, as Managing Partner of the firm. Previously, Nate worked closely with Clay Christensen advising and investing in technology companies in an effort that today exists formally as Rose Park Advisors. Similarly, Nate worked closely with Ken Griffin in the early days at Citadel, where he learned to determine “what risk to own” and how to systematize data-driven investing. He started his career at The Boston Consulting Group. Nate earned his MSE & BSE from the University of Michigan (where he was an Entrepreneurial Fellow in the Engineering Global Leadership Honors Program) and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
