Bio

Punit joined Panorama Capital in 2008 as an Associate focusing on technology investments. He currently serves as an observer on the boards of Fixmo, JiWire, and Tynt and has been involved with Validity and Neoconix. Prior to joining Panorama, Punit led the technology team of the Frankel Commercialization Fund, where he managed all activities for the 14 member team and sourced the fund’s first investment, Arbor Photonics. Punit also worked at RPM Ventures, where he led due diligence for prospective deals and developed investment theses in the areas of biofuels, demand response, and high energy laser systems. Prior to business school, Punit worked at IBM's T.J. Watson Research Center in New York where he worked on a number of high-profile projects, including a DARPA funded server interconnect system for next generation servers. Punit's operating experience includes more than nine years of business development and R&D and in the areas of advanced materials, devices, subsystems, and optoelectronic packaging. Punit holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Michigan where he was a Frankel Fellow and Mondry Scholar. He is also a graduate of the Kauffman Fellows Program where he remains active.
