Bio

Robert S. Duncan, 56, is the Managing Director – Retail Investments for GCP, and leads GCP’s acquisition and joint venture investment initiatives for Main Street Retail and Mixed-Use properties and development projects. He has an extensive real estate finance and transaction background in the retail/urban sector, gained from senior leadership roles in several fast-growing investment/development organizations. Mr. Duncan joined GCP in 2003 as Chief Financial Officer, and has led Green Courte’s retail investment initiatives since 2005. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer of InterPark Holdings, Inc., a national owner/operator of parking facilities owned by Security Capital Group and later GE Real Estate, where he was responsible for all finance, planning, and controllership functions, and led the development of centralized operating systems to support the integration of multiple operating company acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Duncan was Chief Financial Officer of City Center Retail Trust, a Security Capital Group-sponsored private REIT focused on urban retail real estate acquisitions and redevelopment, where he led the company’s financing activities, contributed to property/portfolio acquisition and disposition activities, and directed the company’s finance/accounting function. Before joining City Center, Mr. Duncan was Chief Financial Officer of Midland Development Group, a leading national developer of grocery-anchored shopping centers prior to its merger with Regency Centers, where he contributed to capital raising and joint venture structuring activities, and restructured the company’s accounting functions. Prior to his position with Midland, he was Senior Manager-Management Consulting at Ernst & Young, where he directed a variety of corporate finance/restructuring and operations improvement engagements. Mr. Duncan holds a BS/BA from Washington University, an MBA from Saint Louis University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
