Balaji Srinivas

Bio

Balaji joined Aureos in October 2004 and is based in Mumbai. Prior to joining Aureos, he spent one year with Skyzen Capital, where his team completed three transactions. Between 2000 and 2003, he was Vice-president for The Carlyle Group’s investments in India, and he established the India branch of the Carlyle Asia Venture Fund. During his time at Carlyle, he led five transactions in the IT sector and was involved in seven other transactions. Prior to Carlyle, he was an Associate Director at Intel Corporation where he established Intel India’s Venture Capital operations in 1998. At Intel, he led 14 investments in technology SMEs. Before joining Intel, he spent eight years with Sterling Holiday Resorts and BPL Mobile Communications in their respective corporate finance divisions. He began his career with Tata Steel as a financial accountant. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, India, and has a BSc in Commerce from the University of Madras, India.
