Christian Bailey

Bio

Christian has over 13 years of experience in private equity, interspersed with the founding of two operating businesses. Most recently, he was a founding Partner of Akkadian Private Ventures, an investment company which develops and finances startup power and energy projects. Previously, he was co-founder of Lincoln Group, a defense contractor specializing in information operations, and oversaw the company’s growth to 200 employees worldwide. Before that, he founded Akaru, a software-as-a-service startup in international trade logistics. He began his career at Kleinwort Benson and Barclays Bank, where he was selected for the Management Development Program. Christian serves on the board of Ligon Discovery, an incTANK portfolio company applying novel technology to undruggable disease targets in oncology and coagulation disorders. Christian’s investment focus is on the life sciences, materials science, and aerospace technologies. He holds a BA and MA in economics and management from Oxford University, and completed studies in molecular biology, solid state chemistry and aerospace as a Fellow at MIT.
