Mr Noojin has been in the venture capital business since 1968. During his over 30 years in the industry, Mr Noojin has been the managing principal in three funds, Alabama Capital Corporation, Invesat Capital Corporation, a publicly held, diversified investment company registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, and Hickory Venture Group (currently two active funds and an advisory services company), which he started in 1985. During the same period Mr Noojin has managed as chief executive officer both publicly held and private companies in the manufacturing and service sectors. Mr Noojin's current and past affiliations include serving as Chairman of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies, a Director of the American Council for Capital Formation in Washington DC, on the Advisory Boards of the School of Engineering at the University of Mississippi and the University of Alabama College of Business, and a Trustee (Ex Officio) of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies at the University of North Carolina, at Chapel Hill. In addition, he has served on the boards of American Stock Exchange, OTC, and private companies, and currently serves as a director of several portfolio companies.
