John Beczak

Bio

John Beczak is a Principal focused on fund management of the Corporate Mezzanine, Carlyle Strategic Partners and Energy Mezzanine Opportunities groups. He is based in New York. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Beczak worked at Lehman Brothers as COO for both the Lehman Brothers Global Mezzanine and Lehman Brothers Loan Opportunity Funds. Prior to this role, Mr. Beczak spent six years at Credit Suisse where he was most recently Controller for two of the DLJ Merchant Banking fund families. Mr. Beczak is a CPA and spent three years in public accounting. Mr. Beczak received his M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business and his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross. Since 2001, he has been a CPA in the state of New York and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs.
