Mr Branman has more than 25 years of deal-making, business operations and strategic planning experience. During his career, Mr Branman completed more than $20 billion of merger, acquisition and venture capital transactions within the retailing, apparel, branded consumer products and electronic commerce industries. He has acted both as a principal and as an investment banker. Prior to joining Hilco, Mr Branman served as President and founder of Interactive Technology Partners (“ITP”), a venture capital joint venture of Comcast Corporation, the leading US operator of broadband cable networks, and its subsidiary, QVC Inc, the leading US television home shopping network. Other positions previously held by Mr Branman include Senior Vice President Corporate Development of Foot Locker Inc (formerly Woolworth Corporation), a retailer of athletic footwear and apparel, and Chief Executive Officer of FootLocker.com, the internet and direct marketing subsidiary of Foot Locker. He is credited with leading the successful restructuring of Woolworth Corporation’s worldwide portfolio of businesses, completing 25 divestitures and four acquisitions in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and Mexico. He is also credited with building the FootLocker.com business from an internal startup to over $200 million of revenues. Earlier, Mr Branman had been an investment banker with Financo Inc, and CS First Boston, where he was head of the Retail Industry Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Additionally, he served as Vice President of Strategic Planning for The May Department Stores Company and as a strategy consultant with The Boston Consulting Group. Mr Branman also currently serves on the board of directors of GSI Commerce Inc and Sona Mobile Corporation.
