Monro B Lanier

Bio

Mr Lanier Hickory in 1987. He has invested and held board seats in a wide variety of companies ranging from software to electronics to medical devices to basic manufacturing. Mr Lanier serves on the Board of Governors and Executive Committee as Chairman of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies, and has served as Co-Chairman of the Venture Capital Institute. Prior to joining Hickory, he was involved in corporate planning and acquisition work for a multinational oil and gas company. Before graduate school, Mr Lanier worked as an economic analyst for a large manufacturing company. He has also served as an officer in the US military. Mr Lanier currently sits on the boards of companies in the information technology and telecommunications sectors. Mr Lanier holds an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School and a BA in Economics from The University of Virginia.
