Played a significant role for Englefield since joining in 2005, focusing with Mr Shorthouse on key personnel issues, particularly career development and compensation. Founded Abbott Mead Vickers, the advertising agency, in the late 1970s. This business grew very successfully, becoming a public company and was sold to Omnicom in 1999. Currently Chairman of Omnicom Europe and Vice-Chairman of Omnicom Group, which has revenues of $11.7 billion and 63,000 employees. As well as the involvement with AMV and Omnicom, has worked in a variety of roles, including as a non-executive director of Wembley National Stadium Ltd and Wembley Stadium plc, as a board member of London Docklands Development Corporation, as Vice-Chairman of The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children's Full Stop Appeal, as Vice-Chairman and then Chairman of Millwall Football Club, as President of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising, as founder patron of the Andrew Adams Trust, as trustee of the Richmond Theatre and as non-executive director of Gardner Merchant.
