Bio
Shahar Namer is the General Partner of Sushi Venture Partners and runs its operations in Europe and Israel. Shahar is also the President of TiGer Corporate Technology and seconded to the board of several European technology startups. Shahar acted as a managing director for E.S. Corporate Technology BV in Den Haag, The Netherlands, situated near The European Patent Office, assisting Israeli IT & Telecom companies. Prior to that Shahar acted as a director for Equity Source Ltd, where he focused on opportunities in the medical IT sector and was involved with numerous Israeli healthcare technology ventures. At the age of 18 he was the youngest employee in NetVision (acquired Barak 013), Israel's biggest internet service provider, holding a technical support position. Shahar is responsible for building the company's research platform consisting of a network of contacts and partners around the world. He focuses on network development and identifying emerging technologies. He is also responsible for their new IT infrastructure and setting up their international operations. His past industry experience, network of contacts and wide technical knowledge enables him to provide their portfolio companies with extensive industry insight and access. Shahar is also the co-founder of the Israeli Film Club, a charity managing the Israeli Film Club Fund, works to alleviate child poverty in Israel.
