Bio

Mr Acland joined Quester in 1988 and is now Managing Director of its investment activities. He heads Quester's activities in the ICT sector and is responsible for institutional investor relations. After doing Modern Languages at Oxford, his career started at the merchant bank Kleinwort Benson in various corporate finance roles. He then joined the management team of a venture capital funded startup company based on control systems technology developed at Imperial College, London. Before Quester he worked for the UBK Information Technology Partnership, a venture capital fund specialising in information technology. In the last ten year he has been on the boards of 20 companies primarily in the software sector which either floated or were successfully sold. Mr Acland is currently on the boards of four portfolio companies. He is a member of the BVCA's Technology Committee. Mr Acland graduated from Oxford University in 1979 with a degree in Modern Languages.
