Denise Yennie

Bio

Denise advises 2nd Generation, and its clients, in a wide array of healthcare service businesses. Denise currently serves as an advisor to Tennessee Oncology LLC regarding disease management, pay for performance/quality, and clinical data analysis and reporting. Tennessee Oncology is a long-term client and venture investment partner of 2nd Generation Capital LLC. Previously, Denise served as Director of Advisory Services at 2nd Generation. In that capacity, Denise was instrumental in the creation of a cancer disease management business plan which led to the formation of Compass Oncology LLC and Tennessee Oncology's internal disease management program. She also focused on revenue cycle management, rehab, and other emerging healthcare service businesses. Denise has a broad range of business experience ranging from controller to president and owner of very successful businesses. She has managed a $325 million diverse loan and equity portfolio of high growth companies. She has assisted clients with a wide range of financial advisory and consulting services in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, capital structure, accounting and finance, organizational and operational efficiency, and strategic planning. Denise has been a presenter and speaker at numerous business conferences including: The Center for Business Intelligence – Solutions for Designing Effective Oncology Benefit Management Programs, American Society of Training and Development's (ASTD) International Conference; the Small Business Success Sessions, sponsored by Nations Bank and Tennessee State University College of Business and Women's Institute for Successful Entrepreneurship; the Nashville Chamber of Commerce's End of Year Tax and Business Update; the Wyoming Women's Symposium; and was a lead facilitator and counselor of FastTrac II, an entrepreneurial training program offered by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Nashville Healthcare Council and previous member of Leadership Healthcare. Denise has an MBA and bachelor's degree in accounting from The University of Wyoming. She holds an inactive CPA license and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
