Bio
Dr. Kim has over 12 years of combined experience in life sciences business and scientific research. At Oxford Bioscience Partners, he focuses on venture development in emerging markets including Asia Pacific. Previously, Dr. Kim served as Associate Director and Head of Operations for the global BioMarker Development group at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. He held an additional role in corporate development and strategy while at Novartis. Previously, Dr. Kim was a member of the IBM Extreme Blue program, providing strategic direction for IBM Healthcare and Life Sciences. At Alkermes, he conducted preclinical pharmacology research to evaluate proprietary drug delivery systems.Dr. Kim authored a number of peer-reviewed scientific publications in the areas of preclinical pharmacology, and developmental biology. Dr. Kim received an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University where he was President of the BioPharma Business Club. Dr. Kim obtained a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Texas Health Science Center and the MD Anderson Cancer Center with a focus on developmental biology, and a BA in Economics and BS in Biology from the University of California at Irvine.
