Bruce Blasnik

Bio

Bruce Blasnik is a CPA with a diversified background in auditing, taxation and business consulting. His experience includes servicing a wide range of growing businesses in manufacturing, distribution, real estate, financial services, retail, technology and electronic commerce. Bruce joined the Relationship Factory, (the precursor to Marketing 1to1® Ventures), in 1999 where he worked closely with Mark Ellis to identify outstanding investment opportunities and to provide on-going operational support to the portfolio of early stage companies. Bruce has taken up that same role in Marketing 1to1 Ventures. Bruce began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick's emerging businesses group as an auditor and business advisor to privately-owned, pre-IPO and small public companies. He left KPMG after 3 years to join a struggling manufacturer of high-end, computer-controlled animation equipment where he was one of the key members of the turnaround team. After successfully implementing a new accounting and manufacturing control system and a major corporate re-structuring, Bruce began his own accounting and consulting firm. Several years later, he merged his growing firm into Bennett Kielson Storch Yablon & DeSantis, a major regional accounting and consulting firm based in White Plains, New York. At BKSY&D, Bruce was the partner-in-charge of the firm's business services group and had primary oversight responsibility for the commercial auditing practice, the quality control department and the consulting services group. As partner-in-charge of the quality control department, Bruce was responsible for establishing and monitoring QC procedures and for resolving all technical matters involving accounting and professional standards. As a consulting partner, he had direct responsibility for a wide range of consulting engagements including small business systems solutions, fraud investigations, litigation support and merger and acquisition assistance. Bruce is active in both professional and community organizations. He has chaired committees for the New York State and Connecticut CPA Societies and is an active member of the Institute of Management Accountants, where he has held the positions of Chapter President, Regional Council President and National Director. He also continues to hold numerous leadership positions in local charities and community organizations. As a professional and community leader, Bruce has lead seminars and presented to professional and special interest groups on a wide range of accounting and general business issues. Bruce is a summa cumlaude graduate of Binghamton University, where he earned a BS in Accounting. He is a CPA in the states of Connecticut and New York.
