David R Whittaker

Bio

David is an experienced surgeon, entrepreneur, and inventor. He is a co-founder of Navis Medical Technology and invented an electrically actuated, deflectable guidewire and torque device for endovascular procedures that is being developed in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic. David represents Elm Street on the Samara Innovations board. David graduated from the Naval Academy with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and received his MD from the University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery and Vascular Surgery residency at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard University) and his Vascular Surgery fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (Dartmouth College).
