Bio

Jamie's background combines experiences at leading medical and business organizations. He advises Norwich Ventures on matters related to the intersection of medicine and business. Jamie is a trauma and critical care surgeon in Boston. Previous medical appointments have included a fellowship at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Chief Residency in Surgery at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, and a research fellowship at Columbia's Cardiac Transplantation Research Laboratory. In addition, Jamie took a seven-year hiatus from medicine to work in business. He spent five years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where he focused on medical device, biotech, and pharmaceutical product strategy and M&A. Jamie's client work there spanned the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. Jamie also spent two years at a leading New York City hedge fund as the pharmaceutical and medical device analyst. Jamie earned an M.D. from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, an M.Sc. in Applied Statistics from Oxford University, and an A.B. in Mathematics from Dartmouth College.
