Bio
Prior to teaming with NXT Capital to establish NXT Venture Finance, Jan was the co-founder and President of Velocity Financial Group, where he led investments in notable market leaders such as Avnera, Glasshouse, Greatcall, Interwise (acquired by AT&T), Liquidia, nCircle, SchoolNet, Suniva, Veracode and Vormetric. Jan was previously the Managing Partner of Cedar Boulevard Capital, an investment partnership that he formed in 2003 to acquire, originate and manage pools of debt securities, including venture debt portfolios. His experience also includes serving as Managing Director and head of East Coast investments for Comdisco Ventures and five years of investment banking, most recently as a Vice President with the technology group at Montgomery Securities. Jan began his career as an Account Officer with Chemical Bank in New York. Jan received an M.B.A. from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and a B.A. in Math and Computer Science from Middlebury College.
