Javier "Ed" Benavente

Bio

BS, magna cum laude, and MS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and both an MS in Engineering Management and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. Prior to joining JACO, Ed served in various senior executive positions, including President of Dynacs Digital Studios, a digital media business, President of DTS Inc., a technical services business, and Senior Vice President of Dynacs Inc, a NASA information technology and engineering services company. At DDS, Ed identified and led the acquisition of digital media related businesses, including the acquisition of one of the largest historical film libraries in the world. Ed also developed a HDTV media delivery concept utilizing IP technologies. As a Dynacs SVP, Ed was responsible for the acquisition of over $350 million in IT, engineering and technical services business. Ed also led Dynacs’ S-1 registration with the SEC for an initial public offering. Prior to his role at Dynacs, Ed was with Hughes Space & Communications Group. He served as a Director of Color Systems Technology Inc., an AMEX listed digital media production company, and as a Director of Sattel Global Networks Inc., a global provider of VSAT telecommunications services. Ed’s background encompassing business start-ups & rapid growth companies, turn-around situations, technology, engineering and public & private company debt and equity financing provides invaluable perspective, knowledge and experience benefiting our clients, investors and corporate stakeholders.
