John Beaman

Bio

Mr. Beaman joined AREA in 2008 as the Head Trader and Co-Portfolio Manager of Claros. Prior to his association with AREA Mr. Beaman was a Senior Vice President and Head CMBS Trader at Lehman Brothers, focusing on private label, agency and derivative forms of real estate structured debt. Previously he was a Vice President and Head CMBS Trader at Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette focusing on private label and agency CMBS and a Manager in the Washington, DC practice of the Real Estate Finance Group at KPMG Peat Marwick. Mr. Beaman earned his BS in Accounting from Clemson University and an MBA with a concentration in real estate finance from the Columbia Business School.
