Bio

Mr Guan is concurrently the Managing Director of Tembusu Partner and Managing Partner of Blue Ocean Capital Partners following the recent merger of the latter into Tembusu Partners. Prior to founding Blue Ocean Capital, a boutique financial advisory firm, in 2005, he was formerly head of M&A at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities in Singapore from 2003 and was credited for sponsoring the first IPO for Mitsubishi.Starting his career in 1990 in strategy consulting with Arthur D. Little, Cheng Guan went on to lead the Investment Banking activities for Nomura Securities in Malaysia between 1996 and 1998. In 1999, he became a Principal of Advent International Corporation in Singapore, where he focused on later stage investments and leveraged buyouts in Asia. Mr Guan received an MBA and a B. Economics (Hons) from Monash University, Australia.
