Bio

Ned is a founding Birchmere partner, focused primarily on seed SaaS and marketplace investments. He led Birchmere’s investment in Cvent [CVT], serving on its board for 11 years. His other notable investments include TenMarks (acquired by Amazon), Neolinear (acquired by Cadence Design Systems), Aspinity, EyeLevel, Peloton Technology, PresenceLearning, Identified Technologies, Modsy, Gem, Paper (fka Gradeslam), Mapper.ai, 101 Edu, Ikos, Metricstory, Sleeper, and Treatspace. Ned was previously a senior leader at Concurrent Technologies and the U.S. Department of Defense. He is on the board of the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association. Ned is also a frequent lecturer on start-ups and venture capital at Carnegie Mellon University. He holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master’s in Engineering Management from George Washington University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State.
