Bio

Paul Laud began his career at CIT in 1980 in its Business Credit unit, where he ran the Midwest Region and established relationships with leading buyout and venture capital firms. He then served as the unit's National Group Manager, overseeing CIT's Commercial Finance business in Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta and Los Angeles. Following his 1990 authorship of a white paper recommending that CIT enter the principal side of investing, CIT's board approved the formation of CIT Equity Investments and Venture Capital and made an initial capital allocation of $50 million to it. He is currently a director of Rutland Plastics, Inc. Mr. Laud previously served as a director of Berry Plastics Corporation, Magic Cinemas, LLC, the Lofland Company, Advanced Duplications Services LLC, CAMP Systems International, LLC, Columbia Holding Corp., Helmac Products Corporation, Springfield Precision Instruments, Inc. and Tru-Circle Corporation. Mr. Laud served on the Management Committee of The CIT Group, Inc. from 1997 to 1999. He holds an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University and received his M.B.A. with high distinction from The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College, where he was an Edward Tuck Scholar and elected valedictorian.
