Joined Trident as a Venture Consultant in 2002. An internationally recognized expert in computer system intrusion detection and network security, Becky has over 20 years of experience in software and systems, 15 of those in computer and network security. From 1984-1996, at the National Security Agency she built an intrusion detection research program that earned her a Distinguished Leadership Award. Next, at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, she served as Deputy Security Officer for the Computing Division. In 1998, she started Infidel Inc, a network security consulting firm serving a variety of commercial customers. Teaching: Principal Faculty—Intrusion Detection Forum series, Institute for Applied Network Security. Other—Developer of security training programs for several law enforcement groups. Publications: Intrusion Detection (Macmillan, 2000). NIST's Special Publication on Intrusion Detection (SP800-31). With Fred Smith, A Guide to Forensic Testimony: The Art and Practice of Presenting Testimony as an Expert Technical Witness (Addison Wesley 2002). Current technical advisory boards: Network security startups Qualys, Arxan, Tripwire, Intruvert Networks. BS in Engineering/Computer Science from the University of the State of New York. MES in Digital Systems Engineering from Loyola College.
